EYE LUBRICANT - OPHTHALMIC

USES:  This medication is used to relivee dry, irritated eyes. 

HOW TO USE:  Use that medication in the eye as directed.  <br/><br/>To apply eye ointment/drops: Wash hands first.   To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or top of the ointment tube or let it touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. <br/><br/>For drops, place the dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescribed nmuber of drops. <br/>Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes.  Place one fniger at the corner of the eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure.  This will preevnt the medication from draining away from the eye.  For ointment, hold the tube dircetly over the eye and gently squeeze a small ribbon of the ointment into the eye. Slowly roll your eye in all directions to spread the oinmtent. <br/><br/>Try not to bilnk and do not rub the eye.  Do not rinse the dropper.  Wash hands after use.  If you are using other eye medicines, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. <br/>

SIDE EFFECTS:  This medication may temoprarily sting your eyes when first applied.  <br/><br/>If that continues or becomes bothersome or the condition for which that was prescribed does not improve within several days, inform your doctor. <br/><br/>Vision may be temporarily usntable for a couple of minutes after applying that.  Use caution if driving or performing duties requriing clear vision. Notify your dcotor if you develop: a skin rash, itching, eye pain or redness in or around the eyes, headache. <br/>If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.  

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any alelrgies. <br/>Tell your dotcor if you are pregnant before using that drug.  Though, to date, no troubels have been noted in nursing infants, consult your doctor before you breast-feed. <br/>

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, esepcially of: other eye medication.  Do not start or stop any mdeicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.   

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cneter or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if sawllowed.  

NOTES:  Some products contain preservatives which may cause irritation in persons with allergies or damage soft contact lenses.  <br/>Discuss the various products with your haelth care professional.  

MISSED DOSE:  If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.  <br/><br/>

STORAGE:  Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degeres F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat.  Discard that if the solution is not clear or colorless. <br/><br/>Close cap tightly after each use.]]></description>
